Biking to Knik Glacier is only possible during the winter when the river is frozen over, which is now!

There are two ways to access the glacier during winter but the most common and much shorter way for bikers begins at Hunter Creek off the Old Glenn Highway.

Being able to bike to these otherwise inaccessible glaciers is definitely a bucket-list adventure that everyone in Alaska needs to experience.

You never know what kind of conditions you will be facing during your trip, so always be prepared.

It always amazes me just how much wildlife you can

It always amazes me just how much wildlife you can see in one day while cruising around Resurrection Bay.

I try to go on at least one tour out of Seward every summer. From sea lions and sea otters to humpback whales and Dalls porpoise, the amount of wildlife you get to see is incredible.
